Ipswitch Launches New WS_FTP Server with Person-to-Person File Sharing Capabilities

Ipswitch, Inc., the leading developer of comprehensive secure and managed file transfer solutions, today released WS_FTP Server 7.5, giving businesses new ability to encrypt, control, authenticate and manage files moving inside and outside of their organisations.

Wide-spread data breaches, regulatory compliance and corporate governance requirements make it difficult for IT departments to find the right balance between protecting and managing critical data – and providing employees with the access and information-sharing flexibility they need to effectively do their jobs.

Until now – file transfer solutions have focused almost solely on security – overlooking the critical need for end-to-end visibility, management and policy enforcement around sensitive data, such as credit card information, health records and sales intelligence.

“We’re setting a new standard for information sharing by giving organisations the visibility and controls they need, while making it easier than ever for employees to securely share files of any size – both internally and externally,” said Jonathan Lampe, Vice President of Product Management, Ipswitch File Transfer.
