STORK Pilot to Create an Interoperable Pan European Change of Address Service Goes Live

Making it easier for EU citizens to declare a change of address when moving from one Member State to another

STORK, a pilot scheme co-funded by the EU that aims to implement EU-wide interoperability of electronic identities (eIDs), today announces that the Change of Address pilot is now live. The pilot demonstrates that it is possible to make it easier for EU citizens to declare their residential address, when moving from one Member State to another. Citizens will be able to use their national eID to login, authenticate themselves and amend their address information, without the need for public administrations to alter the internal processes they already have in place.
