We are course talking about Red & White Day.
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting the team from Southampton Hospital Charity, behind the Red & White Appeal. It is a sad fact that 1 in 25 people will develop a form of blood cancer at some point in their lives. The appeal is working hard to raise the £2.2million they need to create a transplant treatment centre for patients with leukaemia and other blood disorders from Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.
The team came to Winchester House with the exciting news that Red & White Day will be taking place on Friday 5th March 2011. The day promises to be a major event in towns and cities across the region, with plans well under way. But they urgently need the help and support of businesses in the area to make the day the success it deserves to be.
