Press Release: Ipswitch Reveals Spam was A Surprise Present In Over Half Of Emails Over the Christmas Period

Ipswitch, the leading developer of network management, messaging and
file transfer solutions, today announced that the percentage of all
email received that was spam over the Christmas period has fallen from
74% to 57% in the latest survey exclusively undertaken by the company.
Ipswitch last analysed the percentage of spam in August where the figure
was 17% higher. The survey shows a welcome relief for UK businesses from
the nuisance of spam, however points to the trend that spammers are now
moving to other arenas such as instant messaging and blogging.

Review copies, interviews, screen shots and information for all Ipswitch
products are available from MCC International via ipswitchpr@mccint.com.
