eema Considers Implications of UK Government Decision to Halt Progress on UK National ID Card

European e-Identity Management Conference 2010, 9th – 10th June, Cardinal Place, London

Following the announcement that the new coalition government is not going to continue with the introduction of a National Identity Register and national identity card programme, the European e-Identity Management Conference 2010 will consider what this means for the pan European initiative. The conference, which is run by eema, the European association for e-identity and security, in collaboration with OASIS (Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards), will also look at progress made by other EU nations in creating secure, pan-European e-identity interoperability.
