PiMS Workspace Hires MCC

(L-R: Senior Account Executive at MCC International, Alex Kenchington; CEO of MCC International, Gina Sharp; Managing Director of PiMS Workspace, Martin Atkinson; Operations Manager at PiMS Workspace, Nicky Hatt and Account Manager at MCC International, Joanna Cannon)

Tailored accommodation solutions specialist, PiMS Workspace, has appointed the award-winning south coast PR agency MCC International to manage a national media relations campaign. MCC International will raise the profile of PiMS Workspace within key media and promote its expertise in space planning and analysis, relocation, and refurbishment management.

Waterlooville-based PiMS Workspace has enjoyed continued success and expansion in 2008, boasting a string of strong relationships with blue chip clients including Skandia UK, CB Richard Ellis, T-Mobile and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. PiMS Workspace chose MCC International to manage its entry for the Partners in Business Change prize at the 2008 Premises and Facilities Management Awards. Following its subsequent win in partnership with Skandia UK, PiMS Workspace approached the agency to manage a full national PR programme.

“MCC International completely understood what we want to achieve with PR in terms of taking a proactive, comprehensive approach and aligning the campaign with our marketing strategy,” says Managing Director of PiMS Workspace, Martin Atkinson. “Its strong contacts in all of our key areas – from HR to facilities management – is second-to-none. We are looking forward to developing a long and rewarding relationship with the team.”

MCC International will use the contacts and techniques it has developed over 20 years of promoting B2B services, to ensure that PiMS Workspace is recognised by the media as a leader in workspace management.

“PiMS Workspace has recognised just how important the working environment is to every company’s bottom line,” explains CEO of MCC International, Gina Sharp. “We are looking forward to working to raise awareness of the efficiencies and savings that can be made through effective space planning, as well as the sheer difference PiMS Workspace has made to many of its clients, most notably by increasing the staff capacity at Skandia UK by 20% just last year.”

MCC Grows The Team

It has been an exciting start to 2009 for MCC so far, as we are pleased to announce that we have appointed two new members to the team. Account Manager, Simon Hewitt and Senior Account Executive, Alexandra Kenchington are already proving to be valuable additions to their client teams, working across various technology and science B2B accounts.

Now in its 21st year of professional PR, the award winning media and marketing consultancy MCC International is one of the UK’s longest running and most successful media relations agencies, working across a number of business sectors including technology, science and consumer.

Simon Hewitt has joined MCC International, with 5 years experience in Account Management within PR consultancies in the IT and technology industries. As well as being a PR consultant, he was a member of the in-house PR team for civil engineering consultants, Scott Wilson and is an NCTJ-trained journalist and news editor with extensive all-around editorial experience in the local press.

Alexandra Kenchington has a BA degree in Public Relations and brings with her to MCC International three years work experience in PR and Marketing. She has previously worked for charities, events management companies and consumer business and more recently spent two months in Asia as a volunteer at both an orphanage and elephant sanctuary.

“MCC is clearly focused on providing a creative and pro-active service to its clients so the contribution of two such experienced individuals is invaluable,” says Sharp. “We have a strong workforce that understands the need for fast-moving campaigns and the ability to turn editorial opportunities around quickly for optimum coverage. Alex and Simon have hit the ground running and their clients will benefit from their clear thinking approach to marketing communications.”
