Power on a small scale...

Here is the latest striking image from Innos, the UK's leading research and development company for innovations in nanoscale technology. Innos worked in conjunction with the University of Southampton’s School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) and the EU STREP project Vibration Energy Scavenging (‘VIBES’) to support Perpetuum Ltd to develop and produce a revolutionary MEMS project, the microgenerator (centre of photo).

The project has just won Innos the EuroAsia IC Industry Award for R&D Initiative of the Year 2006.
